Steve and Danny, being respectable members of the law enforcement community, had been showing up for work oh so handwavily on time, putting in their time, and then coming home and engaging in...

Well. Cardio.

And since they were closer to forty than they were to their twenties (which they both resented, just a little), neither would be complaining about the island's enhancement to their lives.

Danny had gone out for food and beer and so Steve had taken that time to do a little bit of cleaning (neat freak that he was) and then waited to pounce once Danny came back through the door. And put the beer and pizza down, Steve wasn't a complete Neandrathal.

"Pizza, babe," Danny said, coming back from picking it up.

"Good, I'm starving," Steve said from way too near the door. "Hi."

"No pineapple," Danny said, smirking a little at how close he was.

"I'll get over it eventually," Steve said, leaning in for a kiss.

"Damn right you will," he murmured, kissing Steve's back.

"You took forever," Steve said, pressing him into the nearby wall.

He had not taken forever.

"I did not," Danny muttered, kissing him cack.

"Felt like forever," Steve said, taking the pizza boxes and moving them aside so he could keep kissing.

Priorities!

Danny sighed and nearly dropped the pizza as he kissed Steve back. "This week..."

"So much better than last year's," Steve said fervently.

Danny had to laugh at that, but only when he wasn't kissing Steve back. "Move. I'm putting this stuff down before you make me drop it."

"And then we can have sex."

"Food. Then sex," Danny agreed.

"Counter-offer," Steve said. "Food during sex."

"That sounds like a mess," Danny replied dryly.

"You've never wanted someone licking marinara off your stomach?"

[hatesparadise]

"Oh god, please tell me you're not into that," Danny replied. Because the mix of 'food = love/family' and sex would break Danny.

Steve laughed and kissed him again. This week he couldn't stop kissing Danny. "I'm not into that. Whipped cream, maybe."

"Whipped cream is doable," Danny admitted, breath catching a little at the mental image. Shut up. This week did things to a man.

Steve smirked. "Let's call that dessert, then," he said, dragging Danny and the pizzas to the sofa.

"You're such a jerk," Danny muttered, letting Steve pull him along without any actual resistance.

"You love me," Steve said.

"Yeah, yeah. I do." You jerk.

Steve smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Lucky for you," he drawled, leaning heavily into Steve's side once they were on the couch.
