MCA #0, Wednesday morning

Steve was not up at ass o'clock this morning because he worked a regular 9-to-5 job and didn't need to swim and run before dawn, thanks. He snuggled into his pillow with a slightly hungover sigh (he'd done the SEALS proud last night but maybe six shots in a hour and a half was a poor life choice) and woke up, clutching his nose and the nose ring he'd just yanked accidentally.

"Ow!" he said. "That--" dramatic pause, "--really hurt!"
