And since they were closer to forty than they were to their twenties (which they both resented, just a little), neither would be complaining about the island's enhancement to their lives.

Danny had gone out for food and beer and so Steve had taken that time to do a little bit of cleaning (neat freak that he was) and then waited to pounce once Danny came back through the door. And put the beer and pizza down, Steve wasn't a complete Neandrathal.

"Steve--" Would his name being cut off for more of those sounds work? Because that was about all that Danny was capable if with him doing that.

Steve was feeling very appreciated, yes. One of his hands slipped back between Danny's legs again. Since the sofa was already ruined...

Oh, a new couch would need to happen if only just because Danny would end up turning red just walking past it and yelling at Steve for looking just so very smug.

But in the moment, Danny was basically going crazy with how quickly he was perking back up as it were.

It was the very best part of pretending to be 20 again. Steve was definitely showing off with his ability to hold his breath in this application as well.

Because he was trying to kill Danny. That was it, right? A murder attempt?

"Steve--Steve--" Because now Danny was panting and stuck only on his name.

Steve's answering rumble sounded decidedly smug as he hand moved faster to match what his mouth was doing.

Steve was never going to let him live this down, huh?

"Please," he managed to gasp, pressing back to meet him and letting his head drop onto the arm of the couch.

Steve would use this knowledge only for evil, it was true.

Steve pulled away, panting hard. "Oh, you're so good," he said, giving Danny a tiny respite.

"Jesus, Steve," Danny groaned, voice going all kinds of hoarse.

Well, he'd been vocal, it was understandable. "I'm not done with you yet."

"Why am I unsurprised?" Danny teased dryly.

"I'm never gonna be done with you," Steve said quietly, ducking his head.

He wasn't normally prone to saying things like that.

"Yeah?" Danny, don't sound so surprised and pleased by that. It was embarrassing.

Steve dropped a kiss on Danny's lower back. "You know that."

He did, right?

He was trying to trust things! It was an ongoing process!

"I, yeah," Danny said, maybe for himself to try internalizing that.

"Good," Steve said, kissing his back again. "I don't do this with anyone else."

"You," Danny needed to stop being so damn emotional about that being said to him. It was this week's fault. Normally he could handle it just fine! "You said you had more things."

Steve chuckled. "Oh, you're gonna come just from my mouth."

It was good to have goals?

"Jesus, Steven--" He might die. He might actually die.

Steve laughed at that reaction, low and pleased with himself. "You'll love it."

"You're gonna kill me if you keep that up." Definitely not a no.

"I'm not going to kill you," Steve laughed. "Big baby."

"Wait until you're on this end." Oh, that was a threat and a promise that Danny had made without thinking about it. But there they were.

Steve shuddered. "Is that a promise?"

[hatesparadise]

"Yeah," Danny said, not able to deny him when he sounded like that. "Yeah. it is."
